The difference a houseof six people makes
Larger communities can offer more amenities. What they cannot offer is a caregiver who notices, on a Tuesday, that your father is quieter than he was on Monday.
24/7 Personalised Care
A caregiver is awake in the house at every hour, including overnight. Care follows each resident's routine rather than a shift schedule.
Experienced Caregivers
A small, long-serving team who know every resident's preferences, history and ordinary — so a change gets noticed the day it happens.
A Home, Not a Facility
Six residents in a real house on a quiet Edmonds street. One table, one kitchen, and rooms that residents furnish themselves.
Medication Management
Every dose ordered, administered and recorded by trained staff, with regular review by a registered nurse consultant.
Nutritious Home Cooking
Three fresh meals a day cooked in our own kitchen, adapted to medical diets without ever looking like a compromise.
Safe & Accessible Living
Step-free throughout, with grab rails, monitored entrances and a secure garden residents can use freely and unaccompanied.

A household, notan institution
Abbey Road Care Homes is a licensed adult family home on a residential street in Edmonds. Six people live here. There is one kitchen and one table, and everybody eats at it.
That scale is a deliberate choice rather than a limitation. It is what allows our caregivers to learn each resident’s routine properly — which side they prefer to be helped from, what a difficult afternoon looks like for them, when a quiet mood means something is wrong. In a building of a hundred people, those details go unrecorded. Here they are the whole job.
Residents furnish their own rooms, keep their own hours, and are asked rather than told. Families visit whenever they like.

What families tell us
My mother moved in after a fall, and we expected the adjustment to be painful. Within a fortnight she was asking us to come later so she wouldn't miss lunch with the others. The staff learned how she takes her coffee before we'd finished the paperwork.
